ABOUT JESSICA ROWE

With a successful media career spanning over twenty years, Jessica Rowe is one of Australia’s best-known TV presenters.

As the news presenter on Network Ten’s First At Five news for ten years, news anchor on the Seven Network’s Weekend Sunrise, co-host of the Today Show on the Nine Network and most recently co-host of Network Ten’s Studio 10 morning chat show, viewers have grown to love Jess for her warm manner, her infectious laugh and for unashamedly wearing her heart firmly on her sleeve.

It’s her ability to empathise with and understand others that lead to Jess becoming a weekly columnist for Sunday Life magazine in December 2016. Through her ‘Dear Jess’ column, she is able to help readers through life’s inevitable challenges.

Jess is also a three times best-selling author. She co-authored her first book ‘The Best of Times, The Worst of Times’ with her mother, a heartfelt account her family’s experience of living with her mum’s bipolar disorder. Her next book, ‘Love, Wisdom, Motherhood’ reveals the struggles, joys and heartache of motherhood through the wisdom of eleven women. Her most recent book, ‘Is This My Beautiful Life?’ is an honest and raw account of balancing motherhood with mental illness, career and family.

A self-confessed #craphousewife, in June 2017, Jess invited us into her perfectly imperfect world by launching her website www.craphousewife.com, where she shares all her amusing tales and misadventures of being a working mum and a terrible cook!

Jess is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, given her family experience with bipolar disorder and her personal experience with postnatal depression. She is an Ambassador for beyondblue, a Patron for the beyondblue Perinatal Mental Health Program and a Patron of Mental Health Australia.

In 2015, Jess was honoured as a Member of the Order of Australia for her mental health advocacy work and her contribution to Australian media.

Jess is married to Nine News Sydney presenter Peter Overton and together they have two young daughters, Allegra (10) and Giselle (8).
